For the last 15 years, I have been
working in international marketing, corporate communications,
marcom, public relations, investor relations and
business development in Europe, the USA and
Israel.
My work experience as an international
lawyer, combined with an MBA degree, gave me the framework
and tools to start my career in international marketing.
Fluency in several languages (including English,
German, French, and Dutch) is another
asset.

Breaking into the marketing and
communications field is not easy. There are many expectations, but
not a lot of consensus on what competency entails.
In addition, seasoned professionals find out the hard way
that their clients use marcom, PR and marketing to label a wide
range of activities that differ from country to country.
New PR tools such as blogs and RSS are gaining ground -
practitioners
must adapt to a constantly changing media relations
landscape.
No
discipline is as dynamic as marketing
and public relations.
It requires not
only constant monitoring of performance and results but also market
and trend analysis.
To keep updated on
trends, you can visit my blog or go to the trends
page of this website. The trends page also includes case
studies.
A marketing and PR professional must
be on top of the latest developments - it's a precondition for
successful communication with the target audience and public.
It includes
thinking and acting like management on the corporate side, and
as a reporter on the media side. It involves researching trends,
issues and concerns in the industry generally and the company
specifically.
On this website and my blog, I provide some
insight on terminology, practices, tips, trends and guidelines.
